Immigration Cases

Psychosocial Evaluations for Extreme Hardship Immigration Cases or Domestic Violence Immigration Cases:

Nicole provides psychosocial assessments for those petitioning for extreme hardship waivers and VAWA.

For the assessments, Nicole meets with each client two different times, for a total of about 3 hours. (Nicole is Bilingual in English and Spanish) During the meetings, she asks clients about emotional symptoms, as well as about their lives and relationships.

Unlike many other types of psychosocial evaluations, Immigration assessments are quite in-depth. Psychological symptoms, lived experiences and factors that make the case unique, such as country conditions, impact of medical issues when in a developing country, as well as impact on children of being separated from a parent are documented
